The Requirement
The Italian judicial system needs tools capable of accelerating document analysis, reducing workloads and supporting the work of judges and administrative personnel.
The project is part of the digital transformation of the Italian public sector, with the aim of making judicial processes more efficient, transparent and accessible.
The main challenges included the management of large volumes of text-based documents, the anonymisation of sensitive data and the rapididentification of legislative and case-law references.
The Solution
N&C developed an artificial intelligence-based system capable of simplifying and optimising daily tasks in courts and court registries, with advanced capabilities in the automatic analysis of legal language.
The project included:
- Automatic pseudonymisation of orders and judgments, to guarantee privacy protection in publication processes.
- Identification of similar sentences using AI models that analyse legal and semantic context.
- Recognition of legislative provisions, articles and case-law sources directly in the texts processed.
- Training of LLM (Large Language Models) on historical archives of judgements, to improve the accuracy of responses and the reliability of outputs.
Integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to ensure performance, scalability and security.
The Result
The AI system developed by N&C represents a concrete step towards a more digital, faster and more accessible justice system.
