The Requirement
Bari Polytechnic’s aim was to transform the historic “Attilio Alto” auditorium into a technologically advanced space capable of offering an effective and interactive communication experience for students, faculty and institutional guests.
The Solution
N&C designed and installed a complete multimedia system, integrating audio, video, web-conferencing and home automationtechnologies, in harmony with modern, functional furniture and fittings.
The main installations:
- Advanced speaker station: speaker table and podium equipped with 11 recessed microphones and six motorised retractable monitors, configured for screen-sharing and videoconferencing.
- Video system: installation of four high-definition video cameras for complete filming of the auditorium (speakers, podium, seating).
- Professional audio infrastructure: three wireless microphones (two handheld, one lavalier (lapel)) and speaker system comprising four line-array loudspeakers and two subwoofers, for uniform, crystal-clear sound coverage.
- Centralised control room: creation of a control room with video mixer and two preview monitors, for dynamic management of shots and broadcast content.
- Integrated control system: the entire auditorium is managed via centralised automation systems, with two touch panels (one in the control room, one on the speakers’ table), for complete control of devices.
All audio/video signals converge in a multimedia rack that houses encoders, decoders, video matrix, conference system, DSPs and amplifiers, ensuring high performance and optimised streams.
The Result
A cutting-edge technological environment, which enhances the quality of teaching and makes the auditorium a focal point for institutional events, seminars and face-to-face and remote lectures.
"We use our experience and technology to support communication, designing work environments that combine ease of use and maximum efficiency."
