The Requirement
A corporate customer chose N&C to lead the migration of its email and collaboration services to Microsoft 365, with the aim of modernising the infrastructure, enabling hybrid working and reducing management costs.
The project was part of a broader plan to transition to the cloud, in a context characterised by complex integrations, distributed users and the need to maintain operational continuity throughout the process.
Major challenges included: minimising the impact on daily activities and ensuring a smooth experience for end users.
The Solution
N&C applied a six-stage migration frameworkdesigned to ensure an organised, scalable and secure transition to Microsoft Office 365.
The six phases of the project:
Analysis – infrastructure, critical points and integrations.
Planning – prioritisation and migration path definition.
Preparation – preparatory activities and setup on Microsoft 365.
Migration – data transfer and user support.
Verification – final checks on systems and services.
Functioning – active production and project closure.
The Result
The migration to Microsoft 365 took place with no disruption of services and to the full satisfaction of end users, who were able to access a more modern, collaborative and secure platform.
The main benefits obtained:
- Reduction in infrastructure complexity, with the elimination of legacy components and centralisation on the cloud.
- Greater productivity and collaboration, through integrated Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Scalability and flexibility to support new hybrid and multi-location working scenarios.
- Security and reliability through the cloud infrastructure and tools offered by Microsoft.
- Strategic value in terms of IT governance, compliance and business continuity.
