The Requirement
A major Italian company in the large-scale retail sector entrusted N&C with the management and monitoring of its network infrastructure, spread across more than 400 locations covering offices, points of sale, warehouses and data centres.
The project is part of a dynamic, multi-site environment, where network stability and performance are essential in ensuring the operational continuity of shops and logistics activities.
The main challenge was to guarantee uniform monitoring, continuous technological updating and rapid intervention across a diversified network in terms of devices, technologies and criticality levels.
The Solution
N&C’s Network Operations Centre (NOC) took over the supervision of the entire infrastructure, offering continuous monitoring and specialised technical support to ensure efficiency and security.
Services provided:
- Centralised management and monitoring of more than 10,000 network devices, including: routers and switches, firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto), F5 load balancers, access points and connectivity equipment for large-scale retail and logistics environments.
- Extensive support for different environments: central offices, points of sale, distribution centres and data centres.
- Operational management of more than 500 tickets per month, including reports, upgrades, incidents and optimisation activities.
- Proactive analysis of anomalies, with periodic reports and proposals for action to improve resilience and performance.
Supporting technological evolution through infrastructure assessment and shared roadmaps for equipment renewal.
