The Requirement
One of Campania’s leading universities chose N&C to reshape its network infrastructure, with the aim of offering stable, secure, high-performance connectivity to thousands of students, faculty members, and technical and administrative staff.
The project was part of a digital transformation plan intended to improve the study and work experience within the university.
The main challenge was to ensure total coverage and service continuity over an infrastructure spread across 17 locations, while guaranteeing that academic activities would continue to run smoothly.
The Solution
N&C designed and implemented a new LAN and WiFi network infrastructure, designed to ensure scalability, security and high availability at the various university sites.
Activities performed:
- Design and implementation of the data network across 17 academic locations.
- Installation of 142 racks for organised, secure housing of network equipment.
- Configuration of 314 switches, to ensure high performance and link redundancy.
- Deployment of 620 access points to guarantee uniform, stable WiFi coverage in educational, administrative and communal environments.
- Integration with existing systems, ensuring continuity of services during all project phases.
