The Requirement
A major Italian banking institution entrusted N&C with the management of its network infrastructure, spread over a large number of branches throughout Italy.
The context required the management of a diversified technology ecosystem, consisting of equipment from different vendors, and constant support to ensure operational continuity, data security and compliance with banking standards.
The main challenge was to ensure timely monitoring and intervention in a highly regulated and mission-critical environment.
The Solution
N&C’s Network Operations Centre (NOC) manages the institution’s entire network, acting as a single control and coordination point to ensure performance, security and technology upgrades.
Activities and services provided:
- Proactive network monitoring and management, with continuous protection and tracking of activities.
- Management of a multivendor ecosystem, comprising Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Forescout, Juniper and Oplon technologies.
- Coordination with external suppliers, for analysis, fault resolution and network optimisation.
- Management of more than 150 critical tickets per month, covering: failures and incidents on core and branch equipment, second-level support for advanced troubleshooting, tuning and performance optimisation.
- Planning of evolutionary interventions, including patching activities, software updates and suggestions for continuous improvement.
The Result
Constant monitoring by the NOC made it possible for the bank to maintain high network availability and security, which has positive impacts on branch operations and the reliability of the services offered to customers.
